Starting the season on Father’s Day without long time manager, Skipper Bob, gave the team extra motivation in Week 1. With a storm brewing in the distance and concern over whether or not the games would be played (Allen Fields = A+), the Pirates hit the ground running and never turned back.

Pirates 16 Baby Jays 7

The rain kept coming down and the Pirates kept hitting. The defense was lockdown and after a couple of innings of close softball, the Pirates pulled away for the win.
