Coming into the day at 1-1, The Tigers needed to bring their A game against two game opponents.  

Game 1 @ Royals-

On a field with a stiff wind blowing in, defense would be the difference in this one.  We took a quick 3 run lead on RBI's by Taylor Abrego, Kelly Alexander and Jeff Radanof.  We held on to the lead until the 3rd where we would add on 3 more capped off by an RBI triple by the Tiger King and hero of the day Joe "Exotic" Machado.  Stellar pitching by Alexander and solid defense behind him held the potent Royals lineup at bay.  Final Score 8-5.

Game 2 vs. Dash

Early on this looked to be a route after we built an 11-4 lead through 3 innings.  Abrego with a big bomb after Carlos Moran did what he does every game setting the table.  Joe Exotic was just getting warmed up with his solo bomb early on.  The Dash would mount a furious comeback with a 9 run inning to grab a 13-11 lead.  In the bottom of the 4th the hero would arrive on the scene to save the day.  Joe Exotic Machado came up with the bases loaded and 1 out and launched a Grand Slam off of the scoreboard to reclaim the lead.  In the top of the inning we held them to 1 run.  With time running out HUGE singles by Travis Olander and Ozzie Zurita sealed the deal for the win.  Final 15-13.

Tiger Stars on the Day

POW- Joe "Exotic" Machado 6-6, 2 HR, 3B, 6 RBI and great defense in RF

ROW- Taylor Abrego- 5 for 5, 2 HR, 3B, SF, 8 RBI

Carlos Moran- 4-5, 2 RBI and once again amazing in the leadoff spot.

Kelly Alexander- 5-6, HR, 2B and more importantly amazing pitching against some great hitters.

Ozzie Zurita- 3-6 and a HUGE single to ice game 2.
