GAME 1 - Banta's Grasshoppers

----------------------------

Sunday's game began with heavy winds blowing in from Right and Right Center field, making it hard for the lefties and even harder for the pitchers.  The Rangers managed to corral the Grasshoppers for the first inning, and came out swinging with hits from Kravitz, Richardson, Kilburn, Bone and Osgood to put up 3.  But that would be all for the next few innings.  Banta and Kilburn both pitched excellent games with the wind at there backs providing some crazy knuckle ball and curve ball action.  The Grasshoppers made a late charge but in the end fell to mighty wind and the Rangers came out on top 5-3.

Game Stats

Jon Kilburn 1-2 Tough pitching in the Wind, with a Single, a SAC and 2 RBIs

Ryan Richardson 2-3 with another double

Dustin Bone 2-3

Liam Kilburn 2-3

GAME 2 - Alford's Iron Pigs

--------------------------

The Rangers were feeling pretty good about themselves as they moved across the complex and now had the wind at their backs to face the always tough defense of the Iron Pigs.  The Rangers would start hot early scoring 5 as Glosier started us off with a Single, followed up by a double from Richardson and a walk from Jon Kilburn to load the bases for Dustin Bone who would hit a Grand Salami.  Liam Kilburn followed up with his first of what would be a perfect 3 hit game, single.  Tim Crites moved him to second on a single of his own, but that would be all the offense for the first inning.  The Iron Pigs responded with 3 runs of their own and we came in for the second inning. "Stevie" Johnson would provide the kick start as both Stevie and Eric James would reach base safely with a single and walk. Setting up Glosier to advance them.  Kravitz would drive in a run with a SAC fly and Richardson would move the runners into scoring, followed by a Jon Kilburn single to score 2.  Back out to the field and the Pigs continued to fight back, scoring another 4.  To make it 8-7 as the Rangers came back in.  Hits by Osgood, Kilburn and Simeone started the inning off right, but it was not to be as 3 fly balls in a row ended the inning.  9-7 would be the last lead the Rangers would have as the Pigs came out swinging... as the rain came down harder and harder, so did the hits continue from the Pigs.  In the end the Rangers had no answers and fell 20-9.
