MUCKDOGS – 10  vs  IRONPIGS – 9

The Brooke led Doggies were scrappy and ready for the little Piggies as they came out swinging. Ironically, Muckdogs’ rookie phenom Aaron Holmes created the first base runner with a walk, and he never lifted his bat off his shoulder.  Sprinkle in a Prim hit and a colossal “Hispanic Titanic” Miguel Duron blast found at mile marker 37 by a jogger early Wednesday morning on July 1st, the disoriented Piggies were like a giraffe on roller skates after the top of the first inning.

Much ado about nothing for the Piggies offense as Carver was masterful in countering every rally the Piggies offense tried to create; only allowing a total of 1 run with bases juiced in two different innings with only 1 out and the top of the lineup hitting.

Fast forward to yet another “Large Barge”, “Steamboat Dreamboat” whatever you want to call a large man that hits the balls very far (la pelota va lejos?) mammoth shot, and the Pigs are now in a deficit of 8-1 with no offense to speak of and no energy to offset the Miggy Missiles.

The 6th inning couldn’t get here fast enough for the overgrown kids in red as they finally, collectively came together to put up 6 runs capped off by a Cbass three-run double with two outs.  Those Muckers just wouldn’t budge or flinch, and countered with 2 runs in the top of the 7th to make it 10-7.

Bottom (bottom) 7 and Cova stole the show, just like the Marauder he is, and belted a no doubter to LF for a 2 run shot pulling the Pigs within 1 of knotting up the game.  A two out shot by Smalls that one hopped the fence for a ground rule double was the last ditch effort the poor little piggies could give as the Muckdogs proved victorious.

No matter the situation or the score, the doggies were ready the entire game.  Credit Brooke and her pups for a great game and VICTORY.  Thankfully she can’t train the Muckdogs like she can little Grace.  If she could, you may as well hand over the trophy, because these Dogs come to play!

RANGERS – 9  vs  IRONPIGS – 20

Wounds are licked and cuts bandaged from the Pigs loss in game 1, and we're looking for the split.  The Rangers, captained by Kravitz and tons of veteran leadership, were ready to bury the Pigs early as Big Daddy Bone hit a “Yep, That’s a Granny” to go ahead 4-0.

“Cause for panic may be time for Piggies,” said Yoda, but the force was strong with these Pigs.  Rocking and rolling, they sent 8 to the plate to grab 3 runs of their own.  Started by a 2 Guns BB, singles by Cova, Peter Hustle and Smalls in succession, and capped of with a Beasley sac fly.

Bottom (bottom) 2, the Piggies once again on the day, showed grit and determination to bore-boar their way to a win with a 2 out, 4-run rally led by another Cbass double on the day, yet another 2 Guns BB, Mr. 21 single and a Cova joins the fun base knock.

Hard E Licurse shoots a single into the field of play follow up by 8 consecutive base hits that led the biggest inning of the season for the Pigs.  Mr. 21 highlighted the 4th inning with 3-run Tater, and Smalls joined the McRibbie party in the 5th with a base clearing 3-run double.

This was a balanced offensive game for the Piggies with BBs, small ball and HR blasts.  The defense was on point, not making any errors leading to big innings for the Rangers.
