A weekend on the short fields in Plano was on tap against two squads we were locked in a first place tie with and mother nature was kind by providing some cloud cover.  It would prove to be the expected day that was offense heavy.

Game 1- @ Prim’s Muckdogs

The bats came out smokin hot off the Dogs’ ace Grant Carver.  We batted through the order and halfway through a second time before the dust settle and jumped out to a big lead.  Two homers a piece in the inning by Kelly Alexander and Joe Machado provided the punch with steady hitting all through the lineup.  Prim’s squad would battle back with the long ball but we continued to answer and play solid defense.  In the end, we claimed the 22-12 victory.

Game 2- @ Alford’s Iron Pigs

Once again we came out red hot with the bats and put up a 6 spot in the first.  As usual, Ryno’s squad battled back and shut our offense down for the next 3 innings while building a solid 13-6 lead.  We would show the Tiger spirit in the top of the 5th by scoring 7 led by another huge homer by the Tiger King Joe Exotic Machado.  With only a few minutes left in the game the Pigs did their thing and batted out the clock to earn the victory.  Hard fought game with lots of great defensive plays on both sides and solid hitting all around.  19-13 loss but loved the fight in the end.
