Game 1

BULLS - 8

Rangers - 6

The BULLS beat a feisty Rangers bunch in game one. The offense started strong with a four run first, and the masterful Jorts Burke worked his magic and kept the Rangers off balance and in check for the entire game. Standouts on offense were Jorts Burke (3 for 3) and Dalton Fallaw (2 for 2 with an inside the parker). The highlight of the game was a stellar running catch by Michael ‘Bronko Nagurski’ Bourque on a slicing liner into RF. After making the catch (with a runner on and one out), he proceeded to tuck his glove, lower his head, and rush for a solid 16 yard gain before coming to his senses (after a lot of yelling by his teammates) and throwing the ball to the cut off. He did get the first down…

Game 2

BULLS - 10

Braves - 7

In game two, the BULLS offense was not hitting on all cylinders, but did just enough to squeak by a Braves team in search of its identity. As usual, the mound work by Jorts Burke was stellar, even with a few defensive blunders behind him (mainly in the OF and yes, the captain whiffed on one). The offense was led by Keg Dyer (4 for 4), Hap Burden (3 for 3), Michael Bourque (2 for 2), and Gumaro ‘BIG STICK’ Castillo (3 for 3)!

POW  - Gumaro Castillo – 4 for 6, three singles, 1 double, and 4 RBIs
