Story of the season so for has been more about who is missing due to injury or otherwise than the games.  Once again we were short-handed going into the games, but as is  always the case with this team they battled until the end and nearly got a couple of wins.

Game 1 vs. Samsel's Yard Goats

Tight game throughout as the Goats tied it at 6 with time running low.  We were unable to get the run we needed so went to another inning.  With time expired in what would be the final inning, the strategy of the captain backfired as he chose to walk Edgerton who was perfect in the game and loaded the bases for Greer.  Credit to him he got the big hit giving the a 2 run lead.  We were not able to score in the bottom of the inning dropping a tough one 8-6.

Game 2 vs. Pirates

Took a 7-3 lead early but the Pirates stormed back with 9 unanswered to grab the win.

Guys battled hard all day and gave all they had.  We will regroup and be ready to roll next week.
