Game 1

BULLS - 16

Cubs - 11

The BULLS started off super shaky in the field against the Cubs lineup of 15 Gandys, 12 Allsbrooks, and 1 Nutt, going down 3-10 after the first inning and a half (defensive issues, not pitching). The defense finally realized the game had started in the 3rd inning, and that combined with the masterful pitching of ‘Jorts’ Burke (four straight shut out innings) led to another W. Bulls were led on offense by Keg Dyer (3 hits/3 RBIs), Dalton Fallaw (3 hits/4 RBIs), Josh Winsor (3 hits/HR/6 RBIs), and Hap Burden (2 hits/2 RBIs). Rumor has it that Captain Cuddles took a third strike in this game due to brain freeze. I’ve asked around but cannot get confirmation as to whether or not this truly happened.

Game 2

BULLS - 17

Royals - 9

In game two, the BULLS came out hitting and playing solid defense, and never let the Royals get going. As usual, ‘Jorts’ Burke kept the opposing team’s hitters off balance, and the entire Bulls offensive lineup contributed to a solid win over a stubborn Royals squad. The Bulls offensive standout was Dalton ‘New Daddy’ Fallaw with 4 hits and 5 RBIs. One of the hits was an inside the park grand slam, which featured Dalton covering the final 20 feet to home plate atop Keg Dyer’s shoulders.

POW  - Dalton Fallaw – 6 for 7, 7 runs scored, BB (1), 1B (3), 2B (2), HR (1 – inside the park grand slam), 9 RBIs
