In what has been a roller coaster season of who is in and who is out each week, the Tigers put together its complete team (except for Radanof who came out to coach 1st) and went to battle against two tough teams from the Handsome Captains Division.

Game 1 vs. Hauf's Astros

This one started slow with both squads scoring nothing in their first at bat.  After holding them scoreless again in the 2nd, we would push 3 across after a leadoff triple from Kelly Alexander followed by an RBI single from Joe Exotic then a a 2 run bomb from Ariel Rodriguez.  The 'Stros answered with 4 in the 3rd and they something historical occured (I think).  After 3 consecutive singles to load the bases, the captain made his return with a grand slam to open the scoring.  The inning wouldn't end until approximately 30 minutes and 21 runs later.  Yes a 21 run inning.  That HAS to be some kinda record.  Way too many hits to list but I will say the inning saw 27 ABs, 22 hits and  4 homers.  This pretty much sealed the win even though Hauf's squad battled back to within 9 runs in the 4th before going down.  Huge win 24-15.

Game 2 vs Niswonger's Lugnuts

After sitting for an hour and watching the Nuts impressive performance in taking down the mighty Pigs, we found ourselves in a quick 5-0 hole before coming to bat.  As we have done all season, we started fast with the bats and got back on top scoring 6.  Rookie sensation Taylor Abrego hit his first of two bombs in the inning to kickstart things.  We would go on to build a 10-5 lead through 3 thanks to Taylor's second dinger.  The Nuts would battle back for 2 in the 4th and 4 in the 5th to claim an 11-10 lead.  Kelly Alexander led off the bottom of the 5th with a solo shot to tie the game.  We would load the bases with no outs and after a force out at home, Andy Goodman would come up with a HUGE single to give us the lead.  Ozzie Zurita would provide insurance with a Sac Fly.  Nursing a 2 run lead, we saw the Nuts mount a serious threat.  With 2 outs and Matt Shwarts coming up as the go ahead run, he gave us a scare driving one to the fence in left field but Carlos Moran secured the catch to give us the win and the sweep.  13-11 Victory.

Complete team wins with lots of stars.
