Short-Handed BULLS Come Up Empty

Game 1

BULLS - 2

Grasshoppers - 4

The BULLS could not get anything going against the future HOFer John Banta, and his Grasshopper squad did just enough to win this battle of wills. Not much to call out on the offensive side by the Bulls, but a special shout out needs to be made to one Craig Dyer (Keg Dryer in most Shalom circles). After a long layoff, he took the mound in Jorts Burke’s absence and shut down a good hitting team by throwing strikes and fielding his position with the skill of a 32-year old.

Game 2

BULLS - 10

Muckdogs - 13

In game two, it was Prim vs. Prims! The BULLS found something on offense and came out gunning after the well-coached and power hitting Muckdogs. On offense, Badger’s keen eye scored him three walks (and three runs scored), Dalton Fallaw had a HR and 5 RBIs, and family sub Ryan Prim had two singles and played a solid RCF. Despite another excellent pitching performance by Keg, the Muckdogs outlasted the Bulls and took the W. At the time this article was published on the website, Miguel Duron’s HR to LCF has yet to land. It was last spotted flying over 35S in Waco.

POW  - Craig Dyer – 3 for 7, BB (1), 1B (3), 1 RBI, and one heck of a two-game pitching effort (< 4 walks total)
