Every time it seems we gain some momentum, something happens to cause a speed bump.  This time is was mother nature combined with a holiday to provide a long break to slow the train.  Round two of division games commenced and the red hot Dash and the Royals were on deck.

Game 1 @ Dash

Unells squad has been on a roll so we would need to bring our A game.  We opened the scoring in the first on a gift four base error followed by a two-run bomb by this week's POW Ariel Rodriguez.  The Dash would answer with a pair of their own.  We would plate 5 more in the 2nd capped by a grand slam by the captain to stretch it to a 6 run lead.  Three runs in each of the next two innings were aided by a HUGE RBI double by Lewis Zwick, who celebrated his birthday by going a perfect 2 for 2 with 3 RBI.  Ozzie Zurita was also big going 3 for 3.  We cruised to a 15-10 victory to start the day.

Game 2 vs. Royals

In a much different look from the last time we played, the one wasn't close for long.  No Ruckel or Criswell for the Royals, but they had the right 10 guys to make for a long game for the Tigers.  Ariel was the lone bright spot, continuing his perfect day driving in 4 of the 5 runs we would score.  Not much to talk about here just ran into a buzzsaw.  15-5 loss.

Stars of the Day

POW Candidate: Ariel Rodriguez 6-6, 2 HR, 2B, 8 RBI

POW Candidate: Lewis Zwick 2-3, 2B, 3 RBI

Back at it next week with MONSTER match-ups with the Pigs and Muckdogs.
