Game 1: Batmen vs Texas Rangers

Welp...the Texas Rangers finally caught the Batmen! Living the life of outlaw vigilantes has a price and yesterday was pay day. The Batmen started the day like any other day fighting crime...kicking butt and putting up an early 8-3 lead in the 1st inning. Nick Barr kicked it off with a 2RBI homer, followed by a solo shot from Dalton Fallaw. Doug Kramer would bring in Ariel Rodriguez followed by an in-the-park, bases clearing homerun by Erik Clausen! The lead would extend with an RBI double from Dalton and a 2RBI homer from Ariel in the 2nd. That’s when the Rangers realized they needed to load their pistols to catch us and the bullets went flying! Rangers would put up 10 in one inning. Heading into the bottom of the 5th and final inning, the Bats were down 20-12 and needed to pull a miracle out of their Bat Belts! Ariel would kick it off with a double and brought in by David Buhrow. Doug would get on with a double and David would come home on a SAC fly from Sub Travis Trainer. Erik would walk, and Steve Enda would bring a run in. TWO OUTS...now down 20-16...Jim Finley would get on with a single, and Steve would come home on a single from Omar Gonzalez. Daniel Buhrow would walk and Jim would come home on an RBI single from Dylan Buhrow. Nick Barr would drive Omar and Daniel home on a 2RBI single. Dalton gets on with a single...and we now have bases loaded...down by 1 run...and Ariel stepping up to the plate. Ariel did a great job and roped a pretty line drive...but just within the range of Ryan Richardson to make a play. FUN GAME played by all and another win for Field 4…

Game 2: Batmen vs the Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers with the wind at their backs are a very formidable insect! The Bats were able to string together a few runs...including a 2RBI homerun from Dalton Fallaw...but these grasshoppers were claiming Field 1 for themselves. We will have Alfred begin working on a Bat Bug Spray for the playoffs!
