Legends welcome back Super sub, Heath “The Game” Jones and celebrate a special day “Stone Cold’” style and wish Jacob Stites a Happy 21st Birthday!

Legends at Red Sox (W 7-3)

The wind was blowing good and the sun was shining bright as our superstars trudged up to the dug out for the rematch with the Red Sox.  In our first at bat, the wind kept super sub Heath “The Game” Jones from a HR, but an off the wall double would get things moving in the right direction.  He would score on a single from “Bam Bam” Terhune.  A solo blast from “MOTS” Kilburn would plate another for the Legends.  A double by Shaw, followed by a Jacob Stites double would plate another bringing the score to 3 before the inning ended.  The Red Sox would be held scoreless and we move on to the second inning.  Both teams struggled in the 2nd. The top of the third would be started by turn man extraordinaire Andy “Rowdy” Williams.  In his first of two plate appearances, the selfless Williams would go 2-2.  Setting up Heath Jones, who would advance the runners.  A Fielder's Choice on Terhune would score Jones on a throwing error. Another hit for “Big Poppa Pump” Kravitz would score Terhune but a ground ball double play would end the inning. The next two innings would pass before Williams would again flip the order...but alas 3 straight outs.  Going into the top of the 7th the Legends were clinging to a 5-3 lead, when Kilburn would hit a blast off the right field foul pole, initially called a foul ball the umpires got together and got it right. A single from birthday boy, Jacob “Warrior” Stites and another from Liam “Xpac” Kilburn would set the table for Ming.  Unfortunately a ground ball would not do it, but it would score Jacob and the inning would end with the Legends on top 7-3.  The Sox would fight back but could not muster any runs.  Final Score Legends 7, Sox 3.

Brewers at Legends (L 13-22)

In a complete reversal of the Red Sox game, the Legends would drop a huge defensive turd being hit by the RKO outta nowhere, several times, surrendering 4 runs in the first to the Brewers on several errors.  The Legends would respond in the bottom of the first with a lead off Home Run from Super Sub Heath “The Game” Jones.  Followed by a double from “Bam Bam Bigelow” Vinnie Terhune, setting up a double by Jon “MOTS” Kilburn to score him. Jacob “birthday boy, AKA Warrior” Stites would drive him home on a double of his own. Another bad inning defensively would see the Brewers put up 7.  In the bottom of the 3rd, “Rowdy Piper” Andy Williams would again spark the Legends with a lead off single.  Followed by hits from Terhune, Kravitz and Kilburn to set up David “Road Dogg” Shaw for a bases clearing double.  Liam “Xpac” Kilburn would set the table for “Tajiri” MingHung Tsai, who previously had smashed another ball off the wall for a double in the 2nd (SO close to his first Home Run in Shalom on back to back weeks!), but alas, no joy in squared circle today.  The Brew Crew would score a few more and in the bottom of the 4th, Mark “Fritz Von Erich” Fishkind would punch one through for a stand up triple. A single by “the Anvil” Ray Hebbeler would score him.  A fly ball from Williams would move him over. A double by Jones would advance him.  A double by Terhune would score him, and a smash double by Kyle “Big Poppa Pump” Kravitz would end the inning in a great play at home.  Coming into the last inning the Legends were down 22-10. A single by Kilburn, a walk by Shaw and a double by Stites.  Fly balls from Liam Kilburn and Ming would set the runners for another line drive from Mark Fishkind to score them. Roberts and Hebbeler would do their jobs getting on, but a foul out into the pitching net would end the game.  Final score Brewers 22, Legends 13.
