The Bats are living their own “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl” scenario except it is more like “Curse of Cap’n Cova and the Marauders.” We stole two victories from the Marauders and now we are cursed with having not won a game since. I do feel the winds be a changin’ though, and as we head out of division play we shall conquer these seas and return safely ashore onto Playoffs Island. 

Impact Players of the Week: 

1. Ariel Rodriguez: 5-7 with 2HRs 2-2Bs 4Rs and 6RBI. Those two homeruns came at a crucial point in Game 2 to keep the Bats in that game and almost securing a victory. Ariel’s positive spirit also kept our heads up high when things were looking down. 

2. Dylan Buhrow: 4-6 with 1BB and 4Rs. 

3. Honorable Mention: Nick Barr took his first walk of the season!
