Ranger Rap Up

The Ger's swept away the Pirates and Topes Sunday.  Now winners of 10 of their last 12, they have climbed to a 13-11 record with the division crown in sight!!!

The opener was a close and well defensively played battle with the Bucs.  Gers scored all 8 runs in first two innings and then played Defense to hold on for an 8-4 W. There were many good defensive plays made and timely hitting in first two frames.   Kelly Alexander "the great" was incredible on the bump issuing 0 walks in both games.  He was also a hitting star. So were Glossy and Heath "bar" Jones in the opener with 6 hits and 5 rbi's between them....and Keith's 1st inning Tater.

Second game saw the Isotopes come out slugging with 4 in the first.  Ranger's answered with 3 in the bottom.  Topes plated 5 more in the top half of 2nd....then the Ranger's erupted for 8 to tie and 8 more in the 3rd to take control as they ended up on top by a 19-12 tally.  6 BB's and 21 Hits...good D and another fine performance by Kelly on the mound-0 walks and a great catch on a pop-up in front of the plate.  He had 3 hits as well and 4 ribbys.  Heath with 2 2B's and a 3 bagger + 3 ribs.  Josh Winsor "knot" with a 2 run clout and 3 RBI's total.  Dan Meles "on wheels" with a 3/3 game and a 3B-he played excellent D in RCF.  Johnathan Braun had a perfect 2/2 with a BB and Larry "Telly" Taub had 2 hits.
