Marauders at Legends (L 9-28)

“It felt like watching Brock Lesnar and John Cena at SummerSlam 2014”

The word of the day is "hits" and BOY did the Marauders have them.  With the Legends missing two, Fritz and Xpac, the Marauders would come out swinging.  A few missed opportunities later would make it a 12 run first inning bashing for the Marauders, finishing move after finishing move.  The Legends would only answer with 2, but the hits just kept coming as the Marauders would not have a scoreless inning until the 4th when “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner Kyle Kravitz would take the mound in his Shalom pitching debut, holding the red hot Marauders to none in his first outing as pitcher.  The Legends were never quite able to respond to that first inning nightmare...and while narrowly avoiding the run rule for multiple innings they would eventually fall.  Final score Marauders 28, Legends 9.

Legends at Grasshoppers (W 12-10)

Still licking our wounds from all of the German Suplex's,  the resilient Legends would come out hitting and ready to fight.  A walk for “Hacksaw” Stites, a single for “Bam Bam” Terhune, A single for “Poppa Pump” Kravitz and a single from “the Mouth” Kilburn.  A fly ball from “Road Dogg” Shaw would move the runners but that would be it ... the Legends Army would only plate 3.  The Grasshoppers would respond with 2 of their own on a blast from Miguel Duron “The Big Show”. Singles from Ray “The Anvil, Hebbeler and Ron “Ric Flair” Roberts would flip the lineup, a Single from “Hacksaw” Stites would set the table for “Bam Bam” Terhune.  Vinny would smoke the ball...and a great snag by Hoppers sub Taylor Abrego AKA Razor Ramon would turn a seldom seen triple play, sending the Legends back out on the field with the score still 3-2.  The defense would hold, and the Legends would come back in and get to work. A single by Kravitz and double down the 3rd base line by Kilburn would start the scoring.  A SAC by Shaw, then a double by Jacob “Warrior” Stites, and a single from Ming would see Stites fly from second to home to put the Legends up 6-2.  The Grasshoppers would score again, and at the top of 4, it was a 6-4 ballgame. A double by Kravitz and he would score on a long SAC from Kilburn as the Legends would tack on another 2. In the top of the 5th inning in what the Legends expected to be their last inning batting they would add 4 more..bringing the score to Legends 12, Hoppers 6.  In a furious last ditch effort the Hoppers would run the ropes and muster a few more runs, but would ultimately go down.  Final score, Legends 12, Hoppers 10.
