Game 1

SC – 11

TP - 16

The Storm Chasers knew coming into Game 1 that we had our hands full with those nasty Trash Pandas. Both teams came in as the top teams in their divisions after week 1 and though both split, they still sit on top of their divisions after Week 2. Coming in as the Visitors we knew we had to start off strong as the Trashy things would put up plenty of runs. The Storm Chasers started off with a 4 spot in the top of the 1st with a double by the Captain followed by 5 straight singles. However, the Panda Bear’s took advantage of some untimely errors by the Chaser’s who unfortunately spent much of the inning chasing the ball around the outfield giving up 6 runs.

The Storm Chaser then put up a goose egg in the 2nd followed by 3 by the bad guys. With the top of the line-up rolling around to hit in the third the good guys put up 3 after a leadoff triple by the captain, a double by Brum and a triple by Luke. Yet, the bad guys won yet another inning putting the Chaser’s in a chasing position the rest of the game. The team fought hard and never gave up but fell short losing 11-16.

Lost Leader 2-3 with a 2B and 3B

Brum 3-3 with 2 2B’s and 2 RBI

Luke 3-3 with 3B and 4 RBI

Game 2

SC – 7

LEO – 4

In case you weren’t aware most storms drop even the hottest temperatures which is why Storm Chaser’s don’t like the heat. Game 2 started even later than the intended with the temps in the low 90’s by game time which had both teams wiped.  This game consisted of much better defense and after a 3 run first by the Storm Chasers they spread 4 runs over the next 6 innings while holding the Leones to no more than 1 run in any inning ending in a 7-4 win for the Storm Chasers.

Hard to find many offensive highlights, but the following stand out:

Luke killed it all day going 3-3 again in this game with 1 – 2B, 1 – 3B, 1 HR & 4 RBI

Tony Lowery and Mitchell Zimmerman both went 2-2 helping roll the lineup over even though the top of the line-up struggled to do much with it.

Impact Players of the Week:

Luke Morgan – 6-6 1 double, 2 triples, 1 HR, 8 RBI and 4 runs accounting for half of the teams runs

Mitchell Zimmerman – 4-5 and solid D in RF

Tony Lowery – 3-4 repping as our Final Boss
