Tins Caps Walk Off in First Game, But Just Fall Short in Second

Game 1 vs Peases Storm Chasers

The Tin Caps started this week as they had others ... Slowly. It stated as a pitching duel with the Storm Chasers leading after 3 full innings 5-0. But, in the bottom of the 4th, Scott Greenberg led off with a ground rule double, Dominick Cesario singled to get the rbi, Brian Babbitt drew a walk and Chris Cesario blasted his first dinger of the game. The inning continued with Aaron Nutt, Ryan Greenberg, Jeff Sulzer, Danny Nutt and Jeff Roberts all singling to boost the total to 8 runs in the inning. The Storm Chasers tied the game in the 5th and the Tin Caps could not score with time running out. In the extra frame, the Storm Chasers jumped to a 2 run lead, but Scott Greenberg led off with another hit, Brian Babbitt drew another walk and Chris Cesario ended the game in walk off fashion with his 3rd monster shot of the game. Tin Caps Win 14-13

Game 2 vs Prim's Padres

The Tin Caps jumped to an early 3 run lead in the top of the first, but did not score again until the 5th when Matt Casey led the inning off with a hit and a Larry Lachman walk. The top of the line up brought in those two runners but could not muster any more. Padres win 6-5 in a pitchers duel.
