CARGO’S 66ERS VS TRASH PANDAS

Well the 66ers came into the game with a sense of urgency and full of optimism seeing that Coach had made some changes to the lineup.  While the 1st inning didn’t go exactly how it planned with our top 2 making hard outs the bucket heads were able to hold the 1st place Trash Pandas offense to a respectable 7 runs.  The problem was that Rocket’s cousins held down the 66ers to just 5 runs.  Once again we teased the Empire by getting just close enough to make the game interesting.  The 4th was spearheaded when the once best dressed man in the league BDS knocked a single and was followed by Turbo knocking a single then the newly married Dalton Fallaw crushed a double.  He then was knocked in by rookie sensations Heath Jones, Carlos Cruz & Jorge Rivera to get us back into the game.  We played our customary stingy defense for 3 more innings setting up a dramatic ending only rivaled by the original trilogy itself when Heath mashed a triple and was knocked in giving us a new hope until the final inning where Turbo & Hall of Famer Rick Halperin got on base to represent the winning runs the Trash Pandas made a great play on a laser beam hit by Dalton to end the game.

CARGO'S 66ERS   – LEONES

After that emotional battle the 66ers traveled across the universe to battle the Leones for supremacy of the bottom of the table.  With all the confidence in the galaxy from just almost beating a 1st place team we quickly gave up 6 quick runs to the kitty cats and we were back in the familiar spot of looking up at our opponents once again.  But this building on the battle just a few parsacs away the 66ers blasted their way back into the game by cutting the lead in half with a inside the park HR by our leadoff man Dalton followed by three hits from Arevalo, Heath & Carlos.  With the game back up for grabs both teams settled into a fight for the ages with just a few runs here & there until the 5th when we looked up and we were suddenly down by 9 runs.  As this is a familiar position for the Storm Troopers we looked to our Hall of Famer Rick Halperin who started off our 5th inning by using the force to induce a walk by the cat’s pitcher and was quickly rewarded with an easy walk home by a bomb by the newlywed Dalton Fallaw (man, I’m saying his name a lot) and after a single by Arevalo heath & Carlos went back to back bombs to get us withing blaster range of our 1st victory of the season.  Jorge & some scrub named Carver singled to keep the rally alive & Rohit walked but alas the comeback as not in the cards and once again the bad guys lost another close game.

Cargo’s 66ers 10 – Leones 14

All I can say is that the Emperor has seen that this team has shown some great pride in the Dark Side b/c they have had every chance in the world to quit & they have not.   This agent of the Sith sees great things coming for the bad guys once we get into division play.
