TIN CAPS PUNCH THE TIBURONES IN THE SNOUT

The Tin Caps had been known for their slow start. But, when you have a Tiburone swimming quickly at you, you punch it in the snout and escape. That is exactly what happened as the Tin Caps Scored early & often, then coast to win. In the bottom of the first, 7 of the Tin Caps first 8 hitters were on base with the always exciting back to back to back homers coming from the Big 3. The first inning ended with 7 runs being plated then scored 8 in the 2nd inning, 2 runs in the 3rd and 2 more in the 4th. Murderers row was present throughout the line up with Brian Babbitt, Chris Cesario, Jeff Roberts and Larry Lachman all reaching base safely in all their at bats. TIN CAPS WIN 19-6

TIN CAPS PLAY WITH THE SQUIRRELS THEN ERADICATE THEM

Game 2 vs the Flying Squirrels started much slower. After their first at bat, the Tin Caps sent only 5 men to the plate scoring 1 run. In the second inning, Matt Casey delivered the big blow with a 2 out Triple that plated the 3rd and 4th runs. Little did they know that is all that would be needed. In the 5th inning, the Tin Caps hit their stride again with 3 runs and followed up in the 6th with 9 more. Solid Team defense kept the Flying Squirrels grounded while only allowing 3 runs. TIN CAPS WIN 17-3.
