Game 1

SC – 22

BCD - 2

The wind was blowing late in the morning, and this led to some defensive errors by the Corny Dogs along with some solid hitting by the Storm Chasers which led to a 12 run top of the first inning where the second out wasn’t registered until the 2nd batter in the lineup came back up, it was a team effort throughout the lineup. Unfortunately, the Corny Dogs were not so lucky up at bat thanks to some solid D by the good guys held them to 0 runs for the first 3 innings. The Storm Chasers put up 10 more over the next 3 innings while Brumley held the CD’s to a shutout until super sub Zane Belyea blasted a 2 run shot to end the shutout. Run ruled after 4 there is not much more to talk about other than this making it 3 in a row for the Storm Chasers.

Peasey 3-3 with a Walk, 2 Doubles, 1 Single and 2 RBI

Hyson 3-3 with 1 triple, 2 singles and 2 RBI

Tony (Final Boss) 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles and 3 RBI killing it in the last spot of the lineup

Game 2

SC – 13

66’s– 12

Game 2 was much different as it stayed close throughout and even went to a 1 pitch extra inning. The Storm Chasers came out hot again putting up 6 runs in the first inning while batting through the entire lineup. Runs from the first 5 batters holds to a nice pattern for the good guys for sure. This game saw a few defensive mistakes on both sides with some really solid hitting by both teams as well. The Storm Chaser defense tried to shift players around to make things work, but the 66ers kept finding the right holes in the D. All and all a great battle between both teams and the final run scored by Tony Lowery in the bottom of the extra inning thanks to a Luke Morgan walk off ground rule double. A quick shoutout to Mitchell Zimmerman for stellar ply in RF all day including an amazing play on a hit I am sure Dalton though was a triple all day long. Storm Chasers run the win streak at 4 an hope to be finding their groove at the right time!

Offensive highlights for the game:
