Tiburones vs Cannon Ballers

==========================

The day started off with the sun playing peekaboo with the clouds...which is very frustrating if you wear sunglasses... I mean do you wear them? do you take them off? Put them back on ... well fortunately for the Cannon Ballers they have their glasses on their hats (great hat).  The visiting Tiburones went straight to work against a rough and ready Cannon Ballers team.  Andy would make the first out, falsely setting up the Cannon Ballers to think that it would be an easy match up...but they wouldn't grab out number two for 6 more batters. Singles by Sardi, both Kilburns and a double by Justin Reed along with a walk by Brad Earls would set up Big Ben Enlow for a monster 3 run smash. Barry Epstein followed that up with a hit, but got knocked off the bases by a Fielders Choice from Braun, and a fly ball from Ian would end the inning, but not before 5 had crossed.  The Ballers would answer though ... putting accross 4 on Home runs from Rhino and John Simonson.  The second inning would see 2 quick outs from the bottom batters of the Tiburones, but with two outs the top of the order would start churning runs out. A double by Andy, a single from Sardi, a walk from Reed, a two RBI rocket down the third base line by Kilburn, and Home run blast from Earls.  A quick walk from Big Ben, followed by another line drive single from Kilburn would set up Barry Epstein, but alas it was not to be... but not before another 5 had crossed.  A quick answer from the Cannon Ballers plating a few runs would see the Tiburones return to the plate with the bottom of the order up again.

A quick single from Braun followed by a nice single from Valentin.  However, Braun would get thrown out at third with a nice throw. Chris Peterson would flip the order, quick singles from Andy and Sardi and it was looking like a repeat of the second inning, but alas it was not to be.  The next time the Tiburones would come up would start with a bang (well actually a bomb) from Kilburn, followed by two quick outs, but the Tiburones weren't done.  Singles from Kilburn and Barry, would set up Jonathan Braun to drive in Liam for two more runs.  With the game seemingly in hand the Tiburones relaxed...to much .. a quick rally from the Ballers would see the score tighten up and they would pull within 4 and the Tiburones went down 1,2,3 in the next inning it seemed like the tide was turning... however, when the Tiburones came in for their final at bat they smashed the ball! A single from Reed, followed by another smash home run from Kilburn, a double from Earls, two quick singles from Enlow and Liam, a double from Barry, another RBI single from Braun, two more singles from the bottom of the order would flip to the top of the lineup with ony 1 out Andy would walk and Sardi would fly out, a single for Reed, setting up Kilburn for what looked like his 3 home run of the game... a solid blast to left...the crowd was up...but Cuddles would make a good catch in left.  But not before the Tiburones had plated 23 runs.  The Ballers would make a stand ...but there was not much they could do.  Final score Tiburones 23, Cannon Ballers 13.

Tiburones vs Padres

=====================

With visions of the playoffs dancing in there heads the Tiburones headed to a windy field 2 for the second game of the day.  This game, unfortunately would not start off as good as the last one.  The first inning saw the Padres put up 6 in a flurry of hits and homers. The Tiburones would answer with 4 of our own...but the Padres put their foot on the gas and kept scoring...the Tiburones however, went down scoreless in the bottom of the second.  The third would see the Padres falter slightly and open the door for the Tiburones. A home run from Reed would start the inning, followed by a single from Kilburn and a double from Earls setting up what surely would be a 3 run bomb from Ben, but he missed it.. bringing up Liam Kilburn ... who would answer for Ben with HUGE 3 run shot off the scoreboard for his FIRST EVER SHALOM HOME RUN!! Barry would follow with a triple and score off a nice double by Braun. However, that would be it for the Tiburones, as they could not muster another run the rest of the game.  Final Score Padres 15, Tiberones 9.
