Blue Rocks Sweep Double Header!

The Blue Rocks opened game one with some solid defense and a solid 4 run bottom of the first, featuring a solo shot from Ryan Richardson, a Peter Hogan triple, and a Mark Phares 2 RBI triple. The Rocks collected another run in the third off another solo shot from Richardson, and another two runs in the fourth featuring base hits from Doc Levy and Seth Pepkin who would utilize clever baserunning to sneak in and score. The Blue Rocks grabbed their final two runs courtesy of base hits from Matt Rakofsky, captain Banta, and Dennis Brummet. The game finished 9-6.

In the second game of the double header, the Blue Rocks woke up their bats and tightened up their defense. The game ended 19-3 and featured a 10 run second inning for the Blue Rocks. Ryan Richardson hit his third and fourth home runs of the day, including a grand slam. Ryan Richardson, Peter Hogan, Kyle Casper, and Dennis Brummet went 16 for 16 in the heart of the order, powering the offense to its 19 run total.
