Game 1: Sock Puppets 9 vs Renegades 16

On a very frigid Sunday morning the socks puppets kick off their very first 8am game of the season looking to break their winless skid from being swept the previous week. In a rematch from week 2 the Puppets face off against the Renegades looking for redemption. With Sock Puppets as the home team trailing 2-0 going into bottom of 1st, Jason would start it off with a triple with sub Ben Enlow (welcome back) scoring him on a single closing out inning 2-1. The Sock Puppets would struggle at the plate for two inning to find some life going into 4th with adding 4 runs of their own from a HR from Jason and a couple singles from Ryan Tishendorf, Andy Williams, Robert Reighter, Barry Epstein  and a sac fly + RBI from Doug Strom. The Puppets would add another 4 inning in the bottom of the 4th but it would prove to not be enough as the renegades pulled away 16-9.

Game 2: Sock Puppets 6 vs Red Socks 8

Going into game 2 in another rematch from week 1 vs the Red Sock, the Puppets would look for revenge from their first battle of defeat from the Red Socks (17-2). The sock puppets started off strong as the away team getting 7 hits from Greg Ritter, JJ Eusay, Ben Enlow, Ryan Tishendorf, Barry Epstien, Doug Storm and Tim Barns to score in 4 runs to end the first inning.  In the top of 2nd the Sock Puppets would score another run off a solo HR from Captain himself JJ Eusay, from there the game the puppets would stall and score 1 last run in top of 6th ending the match to defeat 6-8.

The Sock Puppets will look to bounce back to snap their 4 game skid vs Royals next week!
