Just like our clocks overnight, Calvano's Twins moved forward in a big way, crushing the ball on route to their first win of the spring season in a Week 4 split.
Game 1 vs Miller's Mariners: Undeterred by the cold weather and light mist, Calvano's Twins started the morning blazing hot in the top of the first. Taylor Phillips led off the game with a double and would come around to score on a Joe Calvano sac fly. Immediately after, Dustin Bone drilled an RBI single to score Drew Waggoner, Tae Lee laced an RBI single and Karlos Rodriguez belted an RBI double to cap off a five-run first for the Twins. The long ball proved pivotal in this one as Calvano blasted a pair of homers, Dustin Bone added another #gHRunt to his impressive season and Waggoner launched his first homer of the spring campaign to widen the Twins lead. Ronel Martinez added a pair of base knocks and Dwayne Henson roped a single to help the Twins seal the deal on a 20-11 victory.
Game 2 vs Silverman's Rangers: The Twins created plenty of traffic on the basepaths in this one, but the Rangers' consistent hitting proved tough to overcome as they took down the Twins 16-6. Standouts in this one include Pedro Reyes (2-2 at the plate) and Ray Darragh launching an inside-the-park home run.
