Calvano's Twins and Garber's Athletics squared off in an electric Week 7 double header, with the teams playing to a split. Game 1 featured a barrage of offensive fireworks and Game 2 proved to be an intense back and forth battle that came down to the wire. Here's the Week 7 recap for Calvano's Twins:

Game 1 (L, 24-12): The A's came out of the gate hot in Game 1, unleashing their power and driving the ball out of the park as if they were the Bash Brothers of the late-80's. Trailing 12-0 going into the bottom of the second, the Twins answered with some power of their own. Tae Lee reached on a single to set the stage for a Junior Nieves 2-run bomb, his second of the spring. The A's punched back with four more in the top of the third, but the Twins continued to swing for the fences thanks to a Drew Waggoner 3-run blast, his fourth of the season. Dustin Bone added an RBI double to cap off a four run third inning for the Twins. Nieves kept his offensive thunder going in the fourth, belting a double. Super Sub Roy White added his own double and Karlos Rodriguez would drive in a pair with a single to keep hope alive. The Twins would add four more runs in the bottom of the sixth on a Joseph Calvano 3-run homer (fifth of the season) and a solo #gHRunt from Dustin Bone (sixth homer of the season) before dropping the opener 24-12. Game 2 (W, 7-6): Ready to set the tone as the visiting team in game two, the Twins came out swinging in the top of the first inning. Waggoner started things off with a double and would score on a Calvano single. Following another single from Bone, Ronel Martinez laced an RBI single to cap off a three run top of the first. Jumping ahead to the third, the Twins opened the inning with a triple from rookie Taylor Phillips, who would come around to score on an RBI from Calvano to make it 4-1 Twins. The Twins added two more in the sixth on a White double to take a 7-2 lead going into the home half of the inning. The A's offense would not go down quietly, erupting for three runs to shrink the Twins lead to 7-5. The seventh inning saw the A's scratch across one more run and load the bases with two outs, but Waggoner was able to track down a long fly ball with the game on the line to put a bow on a 7-6 Twins win, their 5th of the season.
