Red Sox erupt for 38 runs in 2 come from behind wins!

The Red Sox visited the Dodgers on a bitter cold April morning. The Sox scored 6 in the 1st on a GS from troy Knudsen and 2 run hit from POW Doug Wolff. However, the Dodgers would answer with 14 in the home half for a 14 -6 lead over the Sox. The Sox did post 3 in the top of the 2nd on a lead off hit from POW Leo Quinones, run scoring hits from Daryl Drake, POW Jason Niswonger, and POW Zane Belyea. The Dodgers did not score in the 2nd and the Sox grabbed 7 in the 3rd for a 16-14 lead featuring run scoring hitsd from Wolff, Lacy Fenn, Quinones, Ben Collincini, Drake, Niswonger, Belyea and Josh Winsor. The Dodgers tied it at 16 after 3 innings. Neither team scored in the 4th and extra innings it was. Quinones tripled and scored a Drake SF but the Dodgers leveled it with a 2 out solo blast from Brian Babbitt. The Sox would score 7 in the 2nd extra inning with a Knudsen double,  many walks, a Wolff single Quinomnes SF, Niswonger hit and Belyea 5th hit. The Sox won 24-28.

Game 2 , after an hour to further freeze, had the Sox host the Pirates.  The Pirates scored 4 in the 1st, but the Sox answered with 2 on Belyea's 2 run hit. After keeping the {Pirates off the board, the Sox would grab 10 runs, and control of the game in the 2nd featuring  hits from Kyle Casper, Quinones, Garreth Johnson, Wayne Casper, Wolff, Fenn, Collincini, Drake, Niswonger, and Belyea. The Sox would win the game 14-6.

Notables: POW Zane Belyea 8-8, 5 RBI, excellent 1B defense; POW Leo Quinones 6-6, SF, 2B, 3B, 4 runs, 4 RBI; POW Doug Wolff 5-6, BB, 4 runs, 4 RBI: POW Jason Niswonger 6-8, 4 runs, 5 RBI, 2 2Bs, excellent inclimate pitching including extras; Daryl Drake 4 hits, 2 2bs, 6 runs, 6 RBI; Ben Collincini 3 hits, BB, great defense and running; Kyle Casper 3 hits 2 BBs: Troy Knudsen 3 hits, 2B, GSHR, great defense; Lacy Fenn 2 hits, BB, 3 runs, RBI.
