Ranger's Rap

By Larry Silverman 05/05/2024, 1:45pm CDT

Ranger Rap

The Gers got the brooms out and swept past the Brew Crew and Pale Hose.  The first tilt was a defensive struggle with bot mounds men twirling magnificently.  Rangers down 5-3 going into the last inning explode for 6 big runs and hold on to win 9-5.  A solo shot got the scoring started by Jason "real Nice" Wonger. After TJ hit a rocket that actually got caught, 6 hits in a row plated 5 more runs including a FC by newly acquired Omar Olavalle.  Great pitching by Brad and pretty good D insured the victory.

Night cap saw the Rangers battling their old nemesis, the White Sox.  It wa HR derby for the Gers as they broke out the boom sticks..."Nice" Wonger hit 2 bombs, Ben hit a big clout, and Tim "mix some coke in with that" Jamieson hit 3 and had 9 RBI's!!! There were also 4 BB's and a Villy 2B also mixed in.  When the smoke cleared, the Gers had a 16-10 victory and climbed to an 8-12 record. Getting ever closer to the magic 500 mark!! The defense in this game was a bit leaky, but just good enough...Brad was once again masterful on the bump.

Ranger Ruby's:

POW:  Jason Nicewonger 5/5 2 BB's 7 Runs, 3 HR's, and 3 RBI's-great D at SS

Tim J  3  HR's and 9 RBI's in game 2

Ben Enlow  3 Hits including a bomb

Johnny Manjarez 4/6 with 2 RBI's

Omar O  3/3 in 2nd game

Leonardo "DaVinci" Quinones Fabulous 3B most of the time

Game 2 was at the Mets. The Sox started w 2 in the top of the 1st on a Fulton 2B and run scoring hit from Granato, and then on a throwing error.
