Red Sox play 2 1 run games decided on the last pitch each time

The Red Sox had 2 exciting games where both opponents and the Red Sox displayed resilience and energy. Game 1 Vs Rookie captain Muck was a tight affair through all 6 innings. The Red Sox plated 1 in the top of the 1st on Rookie Brian Babbitt's 2 out rbi 2B. The Ducks answered with 2 in the home 1st. The Red Sox and Ducks were scoreless in the 2nd. The Red Sox tied it in the top of the 3rd on Darryl Drake's rbi hit.  The Red Sox plated 3 runs in the 4th on a 2 out bases loaded walk to Joe Beasley and a 2 run single by the aging captain.  The Ducks took a 6-5 lead but the Sox tied it again in the top of the 5th on Tim Kaminski's SF plating Greg "Badger" Hurst (his 3rd run of the contest!). The teams entered the 6th tied 6-6 with the clock expiring.  Brian Smallwood knocked in the eventual winner on a SF plating winning pitcher Brad Parr. The Ducks loaded the bases w 2 outs but Smallwood made a spectacular sliding catch to provide the Sox a 1-0 record on the last pitch of the contest. Spectacular plays had already been turned in by Kaminski (robbing a fence HR), Drake, Babbitt and Smallwood previously.

Game 2 against the potent Buhrow' Bats lived up to its promise eventually won by the Bats in walk off fashion.  The Red Sox scored 3 in the top of the 1st featuring a 2 run 2B by Babbitt and an rbi hit by Brad Cox. After the Bats responded w 5 in the home 1st the Sox scored 1 in the top of the 2nd featuring a 2 out rbi hit by Badger.   The Sox were able to get within 1 run in the top of the 3rd on a 2 run hit by Parr. The Sox took an 11-7 lead in the top of the 4th started by walks to Matt Casey and Sean Harcourt. 4 consecutive run producing hits followed by Badger, Drake, Kaminski and Babbitt.  The  Bats came back and took a 13-11 lead entering the 6th and final inning with time elapsing. The Red Sox grabbed 3 on a Kaminski 3 run blast and added 1 more but for the Sox, that would be a short lived 15-13 lead in the home half.

Co-POW: Badger 4-4, 2B, 3 BBs, 5 runs scored and 2 rbi along with strong SS play and Brad Parr, with excellent pitching during weird shifting winds and rain, plus 5-5, 2 BBs, 2 runs and 2 rbi.

ROW: Brian Babbitt w strong 3B play, and 6-7, 3 2Bs, 4 runs and 4 rbi.

Other notables: Darryl Drake 4 hits, BB,  2B, 3 runs and 3 rbi : Tim Kaminski HR, BB, 2 SF3 runs and 5 rbi. The team is already a blast to play with and great spirit is emanating from all  the Sox.
