Game 1 was against the top team in the Dennis Shaw division. We had the lugnuts shaking in their bolts for a couple of innings, and then they just took off with their lightning fast speed. That team does not believe in singles, and if they do get one, they are aiming for home from that spot. 

Highlights of Game 1 vs Lugnuts:

• -Jockey Dylan Buhrow’s 5th triple of the season.

• -Jockey Driggers 20th and 21st homer of the season. 

• -Captain Jockey David Buhrow catching up to his little brothers in the homerun column with his first homerun of the season!

• -Jockey Daniel Buhrow’s 10th double of the season. Jason Niswonger was quoted to have been happy that he was finally not the one in RCF to be burned. 

• -Clutch base hits from Jockeys Nick Barr, Nikita Blair, Seth “Pepto” Pepkin, Jody Beasley, Larry Taub, and HOF Jockey Eddie Tann. 

• -Big time scoops and big play to get the lead runner at 2nd from Jockey Robbie Franklin. 

Game 2 had the Juleps going up against the Grasshoppers. Juleps put up some crooked numbers in the first two innings. Winning every inning, and then Grasshoppers made a pitching change that would crush the Julep offense. I have no idea what Barry Epstein ate for breakfast that morning, I just know it was from a restaurant in Pop-Up City. Grasshoppers scratch their way back and a very controversial 2-out call (see photo above) leads to a deficit the Juleps could not come back from.

• -Not one…but 2 big RBI doubles from Jockey Simo. 

• -RBI singles from Jockeys Jody Beasley and Captain David Buhrow.

• -Big hits by Jockeys Robbie Franklin and Larry Taub. 

• -Spectacular eyes at the plate with 2 big walks by Jockey Nikita Blair.
