Sardi’s Cervezas - 7 at Alford’s Crawdads  - 4

The Crawdads were excited and ready to go on a beautiful Sunday morning, but the bats had other plans.  Our first run came in the 2nd when Big Bad Joey Welter hits a bomb to get the Crawdads on the board.  The bats fell silent again until the 4th when Mr. Machado smokes a line drive to RCF driving in two runs.  Although we were still down, Sean “never give up” Brinkman burns the right fielder with an exciting in the park HR(yes you read that correctly).  Unfortunately, the bats fell silent in the 6th and 7th as the Crawdads lost the opener 7-4.

Alford’s Crawdads – 4 at Allsbrook’s Aviators – 14

The Aviators were first on the board with two runs in the bottom of the 1st but the Crawdads responded with two runs in the top of the 2nd.  After a single from Ryan Alford and a Machado walk, Doug Kramer steps up with a double to put the Crawdads on the board.  After a Patrick Sanchez sac fly, this game is tied 2-2.  The Crawdads take their first lead of the day 4-2 in the top of the 3rd with Sheldon Fulton driving in two runs.  But the lead wouldn’t last long as the Aviators piled on six runs, one run and five more as the Crawdads bats went silent losing 14-4.
