Ok. So that didn't happen. It almost did, but alas the Cyclones fell 1 run short in both games. #clickbait

Aviators 14 Cyclones 13

Charles leads off like he so often does with single Spencer follows with another Joe gets under one and hits it really high to the SS. Ariel picks him up with a 1B that scores the speedy Charles. Welcome back to the league Drew Waggoner who hits a sac fly to score Spencer.  Cyclones draw first blood and a hold that lead to the 3rd inning when the Aviators drop 3. Cyclones tie the game in the 4th on a couple of miscues by the Aviators. Aviators get it right back in the bottom half by scoring 3 more. 6-3 Pilots. Cyclones fight back in the top of the 5th getting 4 runs on bombs by Joe and Ariel. Unfortunately, the Pilots have a couple of bombs as well and match that 4. 10-7 Pilots. Both teams take a breather in the 6th. Top of the seventh Mike Barth starts with 1b and then Seth Pepkin copies him. 2 outs later Charles draws a walk and loads the bases for Spencer. Spencer hits a laser ground ball which the Pilots are unable to hold onto allowing speedy Charles to beat the throw to 2nd. Joltin Joe Calvano then makes them pay with a Granny giving the Cyclones the lead. Ariel drops in a double and after another miscue another run is added. The Aviators then show why they are undefeated and drop 4 runs with patient at bats by the bottom of the order and timely hits by the top of the order.

Cyclones of the game

Spencer 3-4 3 runs on 3 1B

Joe 2-4   2 HR (1 clutch GSHR) 6 RBI 2 Run

Ariel 3-4 1 1b,1 2b, 1 HR 2 RBI 2 Run

Corny Dogs 9 Cyclones 8

After taking a tough loss the Cyclones traveled to the next game. The Dogs ended up not being stickles as they immediately inserted 4 runs in to the scorebook. 4-0. A double by Joe and 3 straight singles managed only 1 run for the Cyclones. The Dogs take a pee break in 2nd. Mike Barth grabs a walk, Seth Pepkin, Larry Goldstein, and Charles Lachman all get singles to scrap two across for the Cyclones. 4-3. That seemed to get the Dogs attention as they stuck the hole in the scorebook another 4. Cyclones get a couple on but get zippo. End of 3 8-3. A line of something yellowish comes from the dogs in the shape of a 1 in the top of the 4th. Cyclones get singles from Mike, Larry Lachman, a walk from Larry Goldstein, and another 1B from Charles Lachman to grab 2 runs. The Dogs then decide to take a nap for the rest of the game. 1 scoreless inning then another predicated by the need for a speedy inning brought the bottom of the 7th. Once again, a hustling Larry Goldstein helps create another error to get on 1st. After a fielder's choice and a line out, Ariel, Joe, Drew and Kevin all get singles scoring 2 and putting the tying run on 3rd and the winning run on 2nd. With a giant shift and well placed 2nd basemen the Dogs got the final out shutting down the Cyclones rally.

Also wanted to give some props to Seth Pepkin for laying out on that one grab early in the game. Fantastic Play!
