Red Sox split twin bill

The Red Sox split 2 games with Garber’s A’s and Silverman’s Rangers.

Game 1 hosting the A’s was the Socx worst game of the season. Poor pitching led to flat footed defense and disappointing hitting with the wind blowing out, The pitcher takes full responsibility. The few offensive deeds of note included 2 HRs from garret Granato and a HR from Eli Goldaris.

Game 2 found the visiting Sox at the Rangers, fresh off a resounding earlier win. The Sox scored 1 in the top of the 1st on Alfredo Sardi’s hit, Granato’s hit, Joe Calvano’s hit and a SF from Jose Baho. The Rangers took a 3 to 1 lead after 1 as the Sox still struggled on defense but that changed the remainder of the game. Neith team scored in the 2nd but POW Brian Conn started the visiting 3rd with a BB, Sardi had a hit , Granato a hit, and with 2 outs a run scoring hit from Baho, a 2 run hit from Goldaris and a run scoring 2B from Josh Winsor. The Rangers tallied1 to trim it to 6 to 4. The Sox scored 1 in the 5th on a run scoring hit from Sheldon Fulton and 2 more in the last inning on Goldaris’ 2 out 2 run hit. The Sox won 10-7.

The Red Sox will look to get moving forward next week.
